1. Avoid excessive sun exposure 1 week prior to the treatment.
2. For 3 days prior to the procedure, do not use topical products containing retinoids (e.g. Retin-A), glycolic acid or salicylic acid, as these can irritate the skin.
3. Please come to the office without make-up. The make-up can impair the delivery of the ultrasound energy through the skin.
4. Over-the-counter medication such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) may be taken prior to arrival. Ultherapy is relatively uncomfortable. We will apply topical lidocaine to help reduce discomfort. If you choose to take oral anti-anxiety medication, please plan on having a driver.
5. IF POSSIBLE, avoid taking Aspirin, Non-steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS) such as ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Ginger, GinkoBiloba, Ginseng, and Garlic 7-10 days prior to the procedure. These may cause excessive bruising.
6. MUST ALLOW 90 days since your most recent botox and/or filler injection before having Ultherapy treatment to avoid breakdown of your injections.

What to Expect from the Procedure.
1. Each treatment takes 60-90 and you can expect to feel some soreness, numbness and tingling after the treatment. This is normal and will resolve in 2-3 weeks after the treatment.
5. If bruising occurs, it may take 5-7 days to resolve.
6. You can resume all of your normal activities and skin care regimen immediately following the treatment, with a few exceptions.
7. It will take 3-6 months to see optimal results. Touchup and maintenance appointments are recommended.

While some people elect to have the procedure without numbing, we recommend and offer topical lidocaine to help reduce discomfort. If you choose to take oral anti-anxiety medication, please plan on having a driver.

1. A LipoSonix treatment takes about 60-90 minutes.
2. Please shave any hair on the treatment areas before coming in for treatment and do not any apply lotions/creams/oils to the treatment area.
3. During the treatment, some patients experience very minimal discomfort, pain, cold, prickling, tingling or warmth.
4. It will take 8-12 weeks to see optimal results.
5. Most patients can return to their regular activities immediately following treatment. There is no special care after the treatment.

Potential side effects of the LIPOSONIX treatment include:
• Discomfort and pain – Most patients experience minimal to moderate discomfort, associated with a tingly and/or heat sensation, however as we all have different levels of sensitivity, pain may be experienced.
• Bruising – bruising may occur and typically resolves within 2 weeks.
• Swelling – usually minor, could last approximately 2-3 weeks and may be uncomfortable with certain exercises such as jogging.
• Redness – may occur and typically resolves within a few hours.

Please ensure the treated area is fully shaved and that you are not experiencing any bleeding discharge within 12 hours of treatment.

ThermiVa is not recommended if you are using any cardia devices, are pregnant or for women who have given birth within the last 10 months, have any active infections or had recent vaginal surgery.

Femiwand is not recommended if you are using a copper IUD, are pregnant or have given birth within the last 10 months or have any active infections or had recent vaginal surgery.

-Must have clear PAP and STD test within last 12-18 months to treat. 

-Following ThermiVa/ Femiwand treatments, you may experience slightly pink/red skin that's swollen and warm to the touch. This is normal and should subside one hour after the appointment. You might also experience mild cramps, which should resolve within 24 hours. You may also experience light spotting immediately after treatment.

Remain upright for 4 hours after injection.
Do not wear a headband/hat for 24 hours.
Do not do exercise for 24 hours.
Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours before/after.
Do not massage injected areas for 24 hours.
Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2 -3 days before/after treatment.
Do not take muscle relaxants.
POTENTIAL SIDE EFFECTS:
Bruising, apply ice for 15 minutes every hour to decrease. Take Arnica tablets 2-3 days before/after to your injection to reduce bruising. Avoid Aspirin, NSAIDS for 1-week pre/post injection.
Headache. take Tylenol to relieve any discomfort.
RESULTS: Toxins will gradually take effect over 3-10 days with optimum result at 2 weeks.
